My DL 125 rebuild
So, My quest was to replicate the scooters I owned back in the 60's... and the last of these was a GP150 in blue and white... quite a rare colour, so it turns out....
It was then I discovered that getting an Italian GP at the right price was not going to be easy....
I found out that Antony from Buzzsolomoto and Sam from Lambrettafinder were going out to Italy at the same time to do the rounds of auctions.. so I contacted them both with my requirements....
A while later Antony called me to say there was a DL125 that he hadnt managed to get, but Sam had....
So, I immedialty phoned Sam who was amazed that news hads travelled so fast.... he promised that when he got back to Belgium that he would post up some pics and I had first dibs....
As soon as I saw the pics, I had made my mind up and the deal was done!!
As usual, Sam delivered to my front door a couple of weeks later....
As you can see, the bodywork was loosely bolted together where someone had stripped and primed the scooter back in Italy.... Everything was there and ripe for restoring.....
